Gloomcoins can be purchased in person from the artist in the form of a physical token which represents the virtual artwork, which is a photo of that token. The tokens consist of a printout of an ai-generated sketch of what a Gloomcoin might look like, taped to a zinc alloy replica of a pirate's doubloon, with an nfc tag that links to the authentic virtual Gloomcoin.
